Hi Everbody,

I basically just got this site up this past week, and, all I really did was submit some of the article links to reddit and digg, and, WOW, I’m pretty blown away by all the traffic already, and, so happy to see in the site’s logs how many people are already visiting by bookmarks.

That’s why I want to tell you that this site will probably be a lot more of a high-quality article collection on various aspects of celebrity and pop culture… articles that sort of correspond with my doctorate feminist studies and personal stuff as well. It probably won’t be as much about having a blog that’s updated daily, though, I’ll try to do some of that as well.

I’m actually more into writing articles that I research and spend about a week or so on… you can get an idea of what I mean if you take a look at the History of Hollywood piece or the Nip Slip Bonanza.

I think (sorry to say) that a lot of the writing on the web in 2006 is somewhat shoddy, and, I like to really research and try to use all of my talents when presenting an issue. I’m currently working on articles that concern celebrity scientology, celebrity atheism, and also some stuff about how the concept of “female celebrity” has developed.

So, by all means, please check back for those things, because, we’re going to have a great time over here. Also, if you like the articles on here, please please I’d be very happy if you linked over, and, if you want to swap links on the blogroll, hit me with an email at contact@celebritysatan.com.

On a slightly different note, researching around tonight I saw a feature on Askmen.com about the 99 most desirable female celebrities……. wow, did they ever get things totally the fuck wrong! Jessica Alba in the #1 spot and Elizabeth Hurley not even on the list…. Lordy have mercy. You guys know if you’ve read my other stuff that I have a complex view of beauty; though, suffice to say I find our American celebrity beauty aesthetic | ideal to be quite, quite troubling…

This is where my brand–if I may refer to it as thus–of feminism largely departs from a lot of the feminist extremist kooks out there, because, I don’t deny that beauty is a real, God-given quality, and, one that should be celebrated, and, one that on a very real level succeeds in getting real dicks really stiff. This is reality my feminist sisters, and, we don’t do anyone any good in denying this. So, I don’t think that it’s superficial schock to discuss the beauty of various women…

In a nutshell, what I find most damaging is when the cultural aesthetic + ideal is one that represents unhealthiness and actually promotes destructive pathological behaviors such as anorexia-bulimia, obsessive compulsive disorders, and misguided plastic surgery. So, I’ll be getting into all of those issues in upcoming articles.

In the 99 beautiful female celebrity piece, though, I will say they published one of the most wonderful pictures of Angelina Jolie that I ever did see!
