Wow.. and, I mean

fucking wow!

And, I mean wow because just why the fuck isn’t this disgusting Rosie O’Donnell racism getting much web/blog coverage?

Now, I never cared much for Ms. O’Donnell, and, it’s certainly not slander for me to say that I, personally, have found her to be an obnoxious loudmouth. Really, there’s no mean-spiritedness in that remark… just straight-up.

And, Rosie is notorious for being overly-sensitive (some would say ridiculous) at any sort of perceived (imaginary) slight towards the gay community (remember Clay and Kelly Ripa?)

Now, folks can talk about political correctness going too far (and, notice how it’s usually white folks who feel it’s gone too far), but, if you’re going to be so sensitive and combative to your constructed identity (in this case Rosie’s homophobia charges against Kelly Ripa), then you damn better show equal sensitivity when it comes to other constructed groups (in this case… Chinese folks).

Rosie’s bit of anti-Chinese racism in that View segment… I found it repulsive. It reminded me of our childhood racism with that type of imitation of the Asian cultures and so forth. The only thing missing was Rosie using her index fingers to force her eyes up into a slanty position.

Rosie, I can’t believe this story’s not snowballing, but, hopefully it will take off, because you were way the fuck out of line.
