Celebrity Deaths 2006
Well, friends, I don’t want to be morbid by talking a bit about celebrity deaths in 2006; but, please, understand, from my perspective death isn’t such a sad topic. As many of you know, I am a Christian, and, the way I see death is as a passage to heaven.
That having been said, I’d like to give thanks to some of the celebrities who passed away in 2006. Of course, this site is highly critical of celebrity culture, and, in particular the unhealthy body image and unrealistic aesthetic which it tends to promote (celebrity 2006 broken hearts rant.) At the same time, there’s a very wonderful and entertaining side to the celebrity culture.
So, I’d like to extend my positive thoughts to the following departed individuals and their families: Maureen Stapleton, Jane Wyatt, Shelley Winters, Chris Penn, Grandpa Al Lewis, Franklin Cover, Mike Evans, Don Knotts, June Allyson, Red Buttons, jack Warden, Bruno Kirby, Steve Irwin, Ed Bradley, et. al.
