Well, Melinda Doolittle is favored to win, and, based upon her recent performances, I’d say that seems like a reasonable prediction. One online gambling site has posted odds (below.) It will be interesting to see how it all ends up … at the moment, there are 16 contestants left…

It’s interesting to note a few things. First, it’s no surprise–to me at least–that Haley Scarnato
is expected to go next. Sweet Haley needs to go. I do find it a little surprising that Gina Glocksen is so poorly regarded by these odds makers. Perhaps they don’t agree with me about the tears strategy. I have a feeling that dear Gina will stay around a bit longer than expected.

I hope that they’re wrong about beautiful Antonella!

As far as the final two of Melinda and Lakisha… well, if there’s any justice, that’s exactly what will happen, but, in America year 2007, I’m just not so sure that we’re going to have a final two composed of two African American females. I’m sorry to say that I just don’t picture that happening. It sort of reminds me of Season Three’s Fantasia, LaToya, and Jennifer Hudson. Again, if there were any justice, those three would have been the final three.

Of course, that didn’t happen, and, as I recall, the wonderful Ms. Hudson was the seventh contestant eliminated. She, of course, got the last laugh recently with her Dream Girl accolades…

As far as a final three of Melinda, Lakisha and Sligh, I just don’t see it happening. I, of course, have been a little hard on Mr. Sligh, but, I was just trying to make a point about how superficial I am… yes, damn it, I know it’s wrong, but, I don’t think I’m the only one! Sometimes I hate the way I am. Some days I hate the way my eyes work. I hate my superficial tendencies. In particular, how that has affected the women I’ve chosen to have relationships with. I know, intellectually, that beauty is only skin deep, but, my peenie just doesn’t function like an intellectual!

Anyway, anyway! Damn it!

American Idol predictions! We know that the best often doesn’t win. Really, you mean to tell me that Taylor was better than Chris Daughtry? I don’t think so! Or that Carrie was better than Bo Bice? Nigga please!

Anyway, enough out of me… hopefully this will be one of those posts that’s interesting to come back and look at in about two or three months.
