Tonight I was watching Larry King. And, believe me… I too consider Larry to be King of the Idiots, but, it’s almost a scholarly responsibility to tune into the douche once in a while. Tonight he had Chief Dipstick Regis Philbin on … ha ha … what a laugh riot.

While it is interesting how this talentless girl achieved such notoriety … really, in the grand scheme of things… don’t you think there are a few more important things that could be discussed before millions of viewers?

No, I’m not saying that every moment of life has to be serious, but, still… these two old bastards talking about Paris … there’s a heavy absurdity factor to the whole thing.

Okay, though, to actually provide a real answer to the query:

1. We are in America.
2. She’s a skinny blond young woman.
3. We are obsessed with blond skinny young women, in general, because this is the aesthetic our free market has agreed upon because it generates a hell of a lot of money (as it is not very attainable for most).
4. We, as a culture, tend to be boring as hell, and, many of us have a secret dirty little admiration for rule-breakers.
5. We definitely have a fascination with extreme wealth and, in particular, when attached to a family name.
6. We are idiots.
