Blogs Need To Go Easy On Lindsay
So, now the blogs are abuzz with chatter and video of Lindsay drinking champagne, and, because people are basically disturbed: they get their joy-joy in seeing somebody else fuck-up. In the case of Lindsay, there’s a happiness in seeing her blow her sobriety… a type of schadenfreude…. actually, I think there’s quite a lot of schadenfreude involved in the glee that a bunch of every day people get when following celebrity fuckhead culture…
I do not know why people have to be the way they are… Now, on this blog, the writers aren’t always (usually) very nice; but… well, I am an alcoholic, and, I guess it’s just something that I have a lot of sympathy for.
