You know, I’ll be the first to admit that I can be a total fucking blockhead. It seems to go with the territory of being an academic. See, my main research involves arguing a connection between our American Hollywood celebrity culture (aesthetic) and the widespread delusions pertaining to body image, and, in particular, one of its tangents: eating disorders.

So, I’ve been doing a lot of research the past several years, and, for my latest book, I need to take a closer look at some specific celebrities. Well, Jessica Simpson became a natural choice: after all, she’s got a banging body… you know, she’s a knockout! And, in the words of ZZ Top: “She knows how to use ‘em!” And, you know, her ass and nipples are always flying around everywhere… and, Jessica Simpson does have a beautiful ass as well! Anyway, when I first started researching, my initial interest was in why our American culture has such a fascination with nipples: you know, the whole nip slip phenomenon. And, I explored that and included a bit about it here in this blog.

Then, I got a little cynical… I felt like a dummy for being so naive and realized that a lot of the nip slips are actually intentional celebrity wardrobe malfunctions to draw the camera’s attention. I felt a little upset with Jessica when I reached that conclusion. But, I was wrong. After more research, I’ve concluded that Jessica Simpson’s nip slips aren’t about wardrobe malfunction… you see, Jessica Simpson simply loves her tits! And, why shouldn’t she? Those big ole things are beautiful, and, as I’ve written elsewhere, my brand of feminism isn’t anti-body or anti-sexuality or warped by popular Christian misinterpretations. As I was saying, my main concern is more about the average woman’s development of a warped body image through our celebrity culture saturation.

Okay, so, I read somewhere that Jessica Simpson is desperate for more media coverage and that explains her nipple exposures. No sir, as I said, Jessica just loves her tits. She’s an exhibitionist.
